We collect nothing

Nitya — Privacy Policy

Effective September 21, 2026

The short version

Nitya: Jain Panchang & Vidhi has no account, no advertising, no analytics, no third-party SDKs and no server of its own. Everything — tithi, sunrise and sunset, pachkan times, reminders — is worked out on your iPhone. We do not collect, receive, store or share any personal information.

Location (optional)

You can pick a city, type coordinates, or tap “Use my current location”. If you choose the last option, iOS asks your permission first. The app uses the coordinates on your device to calculate sunrise, sunset and tithi. To show a city name and time zone, iOS may send the coordinates to Apple’s location services (Apple’s own geocoder); that exchange is between your device and Apple and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy — we never receive it. The place you choose is saved only in the app’s settings on your device.

Photos (optional)

If you choose your own image for the ritual screen, you pick it with iOS’s system photo picker. The app receives only that one image, keeps a resized copy in its private storage on your device, and never uploads it. You can remove it at any time in Settings.

Notifications and the Lock Screen

Reminders, daily timers and the Lock Screen Live Activity are created and delivered by your device. They are not sent through any server.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

All settings, reminders and the optional image live only on your device. Deleting the app removes them permanently.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
